Meteorite Collection
Matthew Calvin's very first collection, the Meteorite collection combines unique finishing techniques with a high-shine polish, creating unusual and eye-catching pieces. The collection of solid, weighty designs are hand-finished rather than machine-finished, so each piece is very slightly different. Inspired by outer space, the collection is based around the irregular, fragmentary surfaces of asteroids and meteorites. Available in Sterling Silver, Gold and Rose Gold Vermeil, and often mixing Sterling Silver chains and hoops with Vermeil charms, the Meteorite collection has been a customer favourite since its' launch.
By delicately applying simple hand-texturing, Origin explores the techniques involved with textures and their effects on a range of different styles, shapes and surfaces. By observing the way the light catches and reflects, Matthew worked tirelessly on each design to ensure each piece’s simplicity amplified the visual impact of the design, avoiding overcomplicated ideas and processes. The Origins collection was born with this concept in mind: Keep it simple, craft it beautifully and make it last.

Matthew began designing jewellery in 2012. Taking classes around Europe, he learnt different techniques, sculpting in precious metals and how to produce pieces that perfectly balanced simplicity and elegance. Matthew and his small team are now based in London’s Jewellery District, Hatton Garden, where he handcrafts his signature stylish and contemporary jewellery designs. Matthew is inspired by the modern physical world around him as well as his travels around Europe, Asia and Africa. He is now one of London’s most exciting young jewellery designers and his brand continues to grow from strength to strength.
