Meet… Ethical Brand Komodo

New ethical brand alert!

We’re super happy to announce the launch of Komodo next Friday 25th October- the self-titled original ethical fashion brand since 1988.

Our customers will know that we're committed to working with local, indie, ethical designers who do things differently. As the impacts of the fast fashion industry become clear it's never been so important to us to strive against the soul sucking monotony and damaging effects of the industry. That's why we're always so proud to introduce a new ethical brand to the Godiva team.

Welcome, Komodo!

About Komodo

Komodo are all about creating beautiful clothes that are sustainable and don’t negatively impact the environment. They’re all for looking great whilst fighting for and protecting the world we live in.

That's a cause we can get behind!

Established in 1988, the brand has showcased their commitment to creating eco-friendly fashion ever since.

ALL of their clothes are made from quality organic, natural and eco fibres and materials. And, if that wasn’t enough, they’ve even broken new ground using innovative fabrics like green PU coating and recycled PET from plastic bottles.

Komodo produces vegan friendly and cruelty free clothing. What's more, they’re GOTS certified, a member of the Soil Association and the '1% for Planet' initiative, under which they donate to the Sumatran Orangutan Society who are working to restore natural rainforest and eco systems.

The brand works closely with their factories in order to make sure that all their clothes are made in a safe working environment and that every worker is paid a fair wage. They also get involved with the local communities in Java and Kathmandu where their factories are located, supporting local social projects.

Considering that the fast fashion industry emits 1.2 billion tons of CO2 per year and is the world’s second biggest polluter, we at Godiva think it’s so important to support ethical brands that are working to make a real change to the way we produce and buy clothes.

The only stockist of Komodo clothing in Edinburgh

That's why we're super proud to be the only Edinburgh based stockist of this amazing brand!
